It's all about wanting to,
That's all up to you.
It's not how hard will it be,
To accomplish success.
It's how hard are you willing
To work at the task?
It's not how far behind
You may feel that you are.
It's never too late
To reach for your star!
It's not how many obstacles
Stand in your way.
It's not what others think you can do,
It's what do you say?
It's not how long will it take
To get to the top!
It's how much effort will you give
Before you give up and stop!
It's not other's opinions about
YOUR APTITUDE
YOUR SUCCESS DEPENDS ONLY
ON YOUR ATTITUDE!
It takes courage for you to just say no,
And not follow where the crowd wants you to go!
It takes guts to stand your ground,
When others want to push you around!
It takes a strong will to not just go along,
With those you know are doing wrong!
It takes imagination to see a better tomorrow,
When you live in a life that is filled with sorrow.
It takes hard work to realize your dreams,
To improve your situation beyond what it seems.
It takes faith to march to the beat of your own drum,
To not join in a parade and become what others have become.
It takes vision to look beyond today,
And see yourself succeeding if you do not lose your way!
It takes knowledge to succeed, you must get an education,
Your future is the prize and it's time the race was run.
It takes time to see that things can work out right,
But you must get in the battle, it will be an uphill fight!
It takes you to have faith and to believe,
To make things different in your life, you must not follow, you must lead!
It takes a leader who has been there to point others to the way,
Of succeeding for themselves, so don't waste another day!

Where you live is not who you are. It only defines how well you live.
What you wear is not who you are. It only defines the outside of you.
What you say may not be what you think. You may only be saying what you think others want to hear.
How you act may not be how you really are. You may only be trying to fit in!
What you do may not be what you want to do. You may only be trying to belong!
The real you goes beyond your neighborhood.
You can only blend in or be hidden by what you wear.
You cannot be identified unless you say what you really think.
In trying to fit in the real you is hidden to the world!
If you act like everyone else, your true personality is lost among the crowd.
In trying to belong you lose yourself!
NOW I ASK YOU,
WHO ARE YOU?
You can't find your way out through a fog of marijuana smoke!
You can't say you are brave, if you run from your feelings by getting high on dope!
You can't be your own person, when no one knows who you are!
You won't have much of a future behind prison bars!
There's much more to life, than partying and beer!
But how will you ever know if you can never think clear?
It doesn't take bravery to take someone's life!
To steal someone's car, to cause someone else strife!
It doesn't take courage to run in a pack.
To shoot someone you don't know, or stab someone in the back!
Take a look in the mirror. Do you like what you see?
Is the way that you're living what you really want to be?
If the reflection in the mirror wants to be set free,
The time to change is now before they lock you up
AND THROW AWAY THE KEY!
